Senior Planner Leader

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Planner Leader. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in business development client relationship management and leadership within the transportation planning sector. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute growth strategies to enhance our transportation planning business ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients stakeholders and government agencies to secure new projects and foster long-term partnerships.
• Business Development: Identify emerging trends and opportunities in transportation planning and environmental sustainability driving revenue growth through targeted initiatives.
• Proposal Oversight: Lead the preparation of winning proposals ensuring they align with client needs and showcase our expertise in transportation and environmental planning.
• Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor a multidisciplinary team of planners engineers and environmental specialists fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and excellence.
• Project Oversight: Provide high-level oversight on complex transportation planning projects ensuring they meet environmental regulatory and sustainability standards.
• Thought Leadership: Represent the organization at industry conferences and events positioning the company as a leader in transportation environmental planning.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as an advocate for sustainable transportation solutions engaging with policymakers community leaders and industry stakeholders to advance shared goals.

Qualifications :

Minimum:

• Bachelors degree in Transportation Planning Environmental Planning Urban Planning Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).
• Ten years of experience in transportation planning with a focus on business development or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 2 years of leadership.
• Proven experience and success in leadership roles with a track record of managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experienced in communication and interpersonal skills by articulating complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Experienced in the development of professional networking abilities and established connections within the industry.

Preferred:

• Masters degree in Transportation Planning Environmental Planning Urban Planning Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Established industry network and a strong track record of winning work or growing a planning practice.
• Prior experience leading or growing a transportation planning or environmental planning practice.
• Professional certification such as AICP PE or similar.

• Relocation is an option for this position.
