Assistant Manager Health, Safety & Sustainability ESF Centre

The Assistant Manager- Health Safety & Sustainability will carry out managerial functions and initiatives in the development and implementation of corporate Health & Safety programmes across all ESF operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Manager - Health Safety & Sustainability Manager in developing and implementing corporate policies procedures programmes and strategic plans for the Organisation.
• With strong technical and scientific knowledge and relevant experience take a lead role in managing campus hygiene infectious disease prevention and first-aid treatment programmes.
• Conduct audits and inspections including campus hygiene and canteen inspections.
• Manage regular sampling and testing of water air canteen food and environmental parameters by contract work with external laboratories.
• Manage and conduct carbon footprint data collection analysis and other sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and ESF health & safety policies and guidelines.
• Take part in preparation of budget plans and tendering of service contracts.
• Communicate with schools support teams and stakeholders to facilitate work and cooperation.
• Establish and keep track of milestones and objectives.
• Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Take part in ongoing corporate programmes and specific assignments.

Requirements

• Degree in Health Sciences Environmental Science Nursing or equivalent.
• Proven track record in managing contractors and consultants.
• Detailed knowledge of Hong Kong health food and water quality legislation and international best practices.
• Capacity to learn and develop additional skills as necessary.
• Fluency in written and oral English.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
