Junior Lab Technician (contract based) in Indonesia - Your future position

Being a Junior Lab Technician at Givaudan a company leader in the fragrance and flavour industry you will support the Fragrance application lab to prepare application samples used to create winning perfumes. You will be located in Jakarta office and report to Applications & Creations Lab Team this exciting role you will:

• Prepare samples for fragrance evaluation and project needs according to formula and quality standards.
• Manage laboratory equipment and fragrance bases ensuring maintenance calibration and tidiness of the lab area.
• Conduct accurate weighing mixing and compounding of raw materials following formulation guidelines SOPs and safety requirements.
• Operate relevant laboratory instruments (e.g. balances sachet machine etc) used in fragrance application and sample preparation.
• Maintain proper documentation and labeling for all samples and formulations.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Health Safety Environment (HSE) regulations.
• Establish crossfunctional communication to manage stakeholders expectations effectively regarding sample readiness timelines and quality.
• Be proactive in proposing alternative solutions when technical issues or delays occur during sample or base preparation.
• Provide backup support for client visits related to sample preparation and fragrance application as required.
• Collaborate closely with commercial team evaluators and project teams.

Your professional profile includes:

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Chemical Analysis Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
• 1 or more years of experience in fragrance cosmetic chemical or food & beverages industry.
• Experience accurately weighing and measure raw materials according to formula specifications.
• Experience mixing and compounding fragrance formulations while following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Handson experience operating laboratory equipment used in fragrance applications such as mixing vessels sachet machine.
• Experience with laboratory hygiene documentation and sample labelling practices.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.
• Basic knowledge of fragrance ingredients solvents and carriers.
• Consistency and ability to work precisely with small quantities.
• Open & flexible to adapt in changing work environment.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
