Do you want to join a global fund manager in energy infrastructure investments If so Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is currently looking for a Manager to join our Strategic Partnerships team based in Copenhagen.
Team
As Manager in our Strategic Partnerships team you will become part of Investor Relations in CIP. The Strategic Partnerships team plays a key role in developing bespoke solutions and executing strategic collaborations with large existing and prospective investors and with CIP affiliated managers (currently Urban Partners Regeneration Fund (UPRF) NAP CoreCapital QBlue NIO).
Role
You will be supporting the Partner in Group Investments & Financing on all Investor Relations related aspects of CIPs affiliated managers covering both the capital formation and product specialist side. Your initial focus area will be to execute the strategic partnership between CIP and Urban Partners regarding the establishment of UPRF. The partnership is focused on urban regeneration with CIP being an anchor investor and minority owner to seed UPRF under the management of Urban Partners. Your role will be to ensure the finalization of the partnership and facilitate fundraising coordination between UPRF and CIP. As needed you will also support in managing CIPs portfolio of other affiliated managers from a fundraising and marketing perspective. Further you will support the Strategic Partners team in developing frameworks for other strategic clients.
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:
- Serve as the key internal focal point in CIP on UPFR related matters in addition to the Partners in Investor Relations & Business Development and the Partner in Group Investments & Financing
- Develop distribution strategy for the UPFR fundraising in collaboration with colleagues in the Capital Formation teams and Urban Partners
- Manage investor fundraising process from pitch to closing incl. preparation of relevant external and internal material and timely and accurate fundraise performance management communication to senior leadership
- Attend prepare and follow up on the investor coordination and operational meetings between CIP and Urban Partners
- Manage stakeholders and ensure close collaboration with other teams as part of the fundraising processes (Legal ESG Finance Tax Risk etc.)
- Support in developing frameworks for other strategic clients (existing and new) maintain overview of investors and CIP offerings and ensure that senior stakeholders are appropriately informed
- Over time manage CIPs portfolio of all affiliated managers from a fundraising and marketing perspective
You
We are looking for a motivated individual holding a relevant degree and a minimum of 6 years of full-time experience in a similar role within a financial institution for the institutional or fundraising segment.
We look for the following in a candidate:
- Demonstrated ability to secure capital from institutional investors and private market sources
- Solid understanding of infrastructure or real estate asset investment strategies ideally gained through experience at an asset manager placement agent or similar platform.
- Structured and analytical approach to problem solving and decision-making and able to manage processes efficiently
- Experience with fund launch processes including preparation of marketing material fundraising strategies and fundraising coordination and management
- Experience in producing high quality written communication to investors and senior stakeholders in particular in power point
- Familiarity with fund structures due diligence processes and investor onboarding requirements
- Experience in collaborating with legal compliance and investment teams to support investor engagement and transaction execution
- Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate efforts and set clear priorities as well as build a network around clients and other stakeholders internally as well as externally
- High attention to detail and high standards combined with a reliable work ethic and the ability to see the bigger picture
- A solutions-oriented outlook and a team player with great collaboration skills
