Looking for a full-time caregiving role with a consistent 3-day work week paid training

Starlight Behavioral Health is hiring a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Huntington West Virginia to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their behavioral health needs.

This role is a strong fit for experienced DSPs caregivers CNAs HHAs PCAs home health workers and other direct care professionals looking to continue their work in a meaningful person-centered setting. It is also a great opportunity for dependable people who want to transition into caregiving and receive training and support.

What Youll Do

As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will:

• Provide daily individualized care focused on client safety health and well-being
• Assist with personal care including hygiene grooming feeding and mobility
• Help with daily living tasks such as cooking cleaning and routine support
• Follow each clients Individualized Program Plan (IPP) and behavior support plan
• Support clients in building independence daily living skills and social skills
• Transport clients to appointments shopping and community outings
• Complete daily documentation and incident reports accurately and on time
• Respond to crisis situations and emergencies with professionalism and empathy
• Support clients with communication needs including adaptive communication tools when needed

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid drivers license required
• Ability to pass a WV Cares Federal Background Check
• Reliable vehiclerequired for day shift employees
• Ability to work scheduled 12-hour shifts

Experience in direct care caregiving home health behavioral health or related support roles is helpful but not required. Training is provided.
