How Youll Make an Impact

As a Project Manager you will play a critical leadership role in driving top-priority innovation projects within Lubrizol Performance Coatings enabling sustainable growth and successful commercialization.

In This Role You Will:

• Lead cross-functional matrix project teams accountable for innovation project results and adherence to Performance Coatings work processes.
• Define expected business outcomes for each project including value proposition risk/return and marketing plans covering positioning placement pricing and promotion.
• Plan budget execute and document strategic innovation projects ensuring scope schedule quality and cost objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain strong project operating mechanisms tools and processes to improve execution effectiveness.
• Create project plans risk assessments and contingency plans to manage uncertainty and strategic change.
• Evaluate and communicate risk and reward trade-offs impacting project objectives and deliverables.
• Negotiate with resource managers and resolve resource constraints through independent decision-making.
• Provide regular clear communication to business and technical leadership on project status milestones schedules and budgets.
• Strengthen project management capability within Performance Coatings through coaching and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university; Bachelor of Science preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading large complex projects preferably from innovation through commercialization.
• At least 5 years of experience working within a global matrix organization.
• Strong foundational knowledge of project management principles.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project.
• Outstanding organizational leadership communication and presentation skills.
• Change management mindset with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
