Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $86000.00 - $131375.00. In addition this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to: scope of role level of experience education accomplishments internal equity budget and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

Position Summary

  • The Manager Communications & Strategic Projects to the COO Chief of Staff will report directly to the Chief of Staff to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and serve as a key partner supporting executive communications strategic initiatives and high-priority deliverables across the broader Operations leadership team.
  • This individual will play a central role in shaping executive-level materials advancing special projects and helping drive alignment and execution across a fast-paced high-visibility environment. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer strong project manager and strategic thinker who can synthesize complex information into clear executive-ready materials and actionable insights.
  • This role offers significant visibility to senior leadership and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to enterprise-level strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Communications

  • Partner with the Chief of Staff to develop high-quality communications and materials on behalf of the COO and Operations leadership team.
  • Draft and refine presentations talking points remarks leadership updates briefing materials and executive communications.
  • Tailor messaging for diverse audiences including frontline teams leadership executive stakeholders the CEO and the Board.
  • Own development of select priority communications end-to-end from initial concept and content development through finalization and delivery.
  • Support development of clear compelling narratives around strategic priorities operational performance and key initiatives.

Special Projects & Strategic Support

  • Support priority initiatives and special projects on behalf of the COO and VP Operations & Operational Excellence.
  • Own select initiatives end-to-end helping move work from concept through execution and handoff.
  • Help manage projects from planning through execution including stakeholder coordination content development project tracking and follow-up.
  • Drive follow-through on key decisions and help ensure alignment across stakeholders.
  • Prepare concise summaries analyses and materials to support leadership decision-making.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into actionable insights to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Contribute to cross-functional efforts requiring strong coordination and executive visibility.

Operational Cadence Change Management & Coordination

  • Support the operating cadence of the COO Chief of Staff and broader Operations leadership team including leadership forums performance reviews executive touchpoints and recurring strategic deliverables.
  • Support communication and change management planning for key operational and organizational initiatives.
  • Prepare materials and coordination for leadership forums and governance meetings including Management Committee and other COO-sponsored forums.
  • Track deliverables timelines and follow-up actions across a portfolio of work.
  • Ensure strong organization responsiveness and follow-through across priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in areas such as executive communications strategy or strategic operations project management healthcare administration or hospital operations or management consulting.
  • Exceptional writing editing and presentation development skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint Excel Word).
  • Experience supporting senior leaders or high-priority initiatives preferred.
  • Healthcare or academic medical center experience preferred.
