Cloud Engineer

About the job:

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing building deploying and maintaining secure and scalable cloud-based solutions across major cloud platforms. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to support cloud-native application development automation and operational excellence while ensuring alignment with security performance and business requirements.
The Cloud Engineer contributes to cloud strategy leads best practices and supports Agile delivery throughout the full lifecycle of cloud initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the IT team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions
• Supporting the planning designing and developing cloud-based applications
• Managing the cloud environment in accordance with security guidelines
• Supporting the deployment and debugging of cloud initiatives
• Leading and developing best practices for a cloud engineering team
• Building and designing web services in the cloud
• Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms
• Document cloud architecture processes and procedures
• Participate in Agile ceremonies using Azure DevOps or similar platforms
• Work in cross-functional teams made by scientists developers and engineers

Requirements:

• Minimum: 3 years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer on major platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
• Education in a relevant field
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Python Bash Terraform Ansible)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
• Cloud certification from major vendors
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Awareness of networking and internet protocols
• Strong communication skills
• Good level of spoken and written English
