Overview
Defines advances andmanagesthe automation and artificial intelligence strategy for Northside Hospital. This roleidentifiesopportunities to streamline operations reduce manual effort and lower costs by applying intelligent automation solutions. The Automation & AI Architect partners with operational and clinical leaders to analyze inefficient processes redesign workflows and champion initiatives that deliver measurable value.
Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates andmaintainsthe Automation & AI Strategy and Roadmap for Northside Hospital
- Identifiesoperational processes suitable for automation AI augmentation or workflow redesign
- Benchmark AI opportunities in healthcare to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Partners with departments to transform manual workflows using automation technology
- Conducts assessments of automation and AI opportunities; recommends prioritized initiatives based on quantifiable value
- Sponsors automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency reduce cost andeliminatemanual or repetitive tasks
- Maintains awareness of current automation and AI technologies trends and platform capabilities
- Mobilizes approved initiatives through existing program delivery structures and collaborates with project teams throughout execution
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Information Systems Business Computer Science or related technical field. (Equivalent experience may substitute.)
- Strong knowledge of automation tools AI/ML platforms workflow tools RPA technology and data analytics concepts
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives operational leaders and technical teams
- Strong understanding of business process improvement methodologies
- Ability to analyze workflows and identify automation opportunities with measurable outcomes
- Expert knowledge of hospital operations
PREFERRED:
- Masters degree in Engineering Information Systems Business or related field
- Five (5) years of experience in automation AI process engineering or related technology fields
- Certifications in automation platforms (UiPath Automation Anywhere Power Automate) AI/ML or process improvement (Lean Six Sigma)
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Excellent analytical communication and customer service skills
- Experience leading crossfunctional automation initiatives
- Project lead or coordination experience
