Job Title: Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III
Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Pay Rate: $32 $36 per hour
Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM 11:30 PM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend Rotating Holidays
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III to join a dynamic healthcare team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through accurate specimen collection and non-invasive cardiac testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in phlebotomy and EKG procedures along with excellent patient interaction and clinical coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and collect clinical specimens while ensuring proper patient identification
- Educate patients on specimen collection procedures and testing requirements
- Conduct non-invasive cardiac diagnostics including EKGs Holter monitoring and stress testing
- Accurately document patient data and test results in electronic medical records
- Ensure all lab requisitions and documentation are complete and compliant with standards
- Troubleshoot specimen collection issues and address patient concerns professionally
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate workflow and patient care activities
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment following PPE protocols
- Monitor inventory levels restock supplies and report shortages as needed
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff and students
- Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement
- Deliver excellent patient service while maintaining professionalism at all times
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certification (PBT)
- EKG Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting
