Job Title: Assistant Chief Nursing Officer Behavioral Health
Location: West Palm Beach FL 33407
Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift (No Weekends)
Compensation: $150000 $155000 annually 17.5% performance bonus
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and strategic nursing leader to serve as the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) Behavioral Health. This role partners closely with the Chief Nursing Officer to drive clinical excellence operational performance and strategic growth across behavioral health services.
The ACNO will oversee multiple inpatient behavioral health units ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care while fostering a culture of accountability engagement and continuous improvement. This position also plays a key role in leadership development and succession planning for future executive nursing roles.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance
- Support the development and implementation of nursing policies aligned with regulatory and professional standards
- Lead and monitor quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
- Conduct leadership rounding with patients staff and providers to enhance care delivery
- Investigate patient concerns incidents and complaints ensuring timely resolution and corrective action
Service Excellence
- Champion a patient-centered care model to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes
- Drive initiatives to improve patient experience and service delivery
- Promote a culture of professionalism compassion and ethical practice
Leadership & People Management
- Provide direction and leadership to nursing teams across behavioral health services
- Foster staff engagement accountability and professional development
- Support education training and leadership development programs
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Operations & Collaboration
- Oversee daily nursing operations across assigned behavioral health units
- Drive interdisciplinary collaboration and performance improvement initiatives
- Support workforce planning recruitment and retention strategies
Financial Management
- Assist in budget development and financial oversight for nursing services
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary costs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (State or Compact)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership/supervisory experience
- Minimum of 5 years of behavioral health leadership experience in an inpatient setting
- Prior experience at the Unit Director level or higher within inpatient behavioral health is required
