Job Description Summary
The CUSP Professional Education program enhances student pharmacist learning and practice readiness through activities programs and experiences that complement didactic and experiential learning. PharmD Students apply knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom to experiences in the community. These events allow students to prepare for their future careers practice patient-care collaborate with interprofessional peers and demonstrate leadership and innovation. The student assistant will provide support to the Director of Professional Education and the CUSP Professional Education program as outlined below serve as a liaison to professional student pharmacy organizations collaborate with faculty and students to identify opportunities for expanding co-curricular offerings and support data collection and reporting.
Responsibilities
1. Attend student leadership meetings to determine co-curriculum/professional education needs of professional student pharmacy organizations 2. Work with Director of Professional Education and professional student pharmacy organizations to identify opportunities to expand co-curricular offerings across all four domains: professional development community outreach interprofessional education and leadership and innovation 3. Review student requests for health fairs and community outreach events and work with Director of Professional Education to determine action items for events 4. Collaborate with Director of Professional Education to create preceptor database and training materials 5. Collaborate with Director of Professional Education to create health fair kits for use by professional student pharmacy organizations 6. Collect and compile data on co-curricular activities and community outreach events 7. Support co-curriculum/professional education tracking on CUSP Connect (Alumni resource page)
Required Qualifications
1. Must be a PharmD student 2. Must be in good academic standing
