PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Under the supervision of the HS Principal and Director of Curriculum & Instruction is responsible for ensuring the effective and faithful implementation of the districts adopted high quality instructional materials (Bluebonnet Math) in Algebra I Geometry and Algebra II courses. The specialist will work closely with campus and district leaders to build teacher capacity monitor implementation fidelity and support continuous improvement in mathematics instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelors degree from accredited university

Masters degree from accredited university in instructional technology educational

technology curriculum or similar field preferred

Valid Texas teaching certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of high quality curriculum and assessment design

Skilled in effective research based instructional strategies

Skilled in leading adult learning

Understanding of daily school operations and procedures

Ability to interpret policy procedures and data

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Minimum of three years of effective teaching experience

Experience in school administration or school leadership preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Curriculum Implementation & Instructional Support

  • Support the implementation of Bluebonnet Math instructional materials in alignment with LASO 4 LIFT grant expectations for high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and strong Tier 1 instruction.
  • Model effective standards-aligned instructional practices that reflect the intent and design of the adopted curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teachers to internalize and rehearse lessons units and assessments.
  • Provide job-embedded coaching including co-planning co-teaching observation and feedback cycles to strengthen instructional delivery.
  • Assist teachers in differentiating instruction and providing targeted supports for students based on data.

Professional Learning

  • Design and facilitate professional development aligned to LASO 4 LIFT priorities including effective use of HQIM research-based instructional strategies and acceleration of student learning.
  • Support ongoing teacher learning through collaborative team meetings vertical alignment meetings and campus-based training structures.
  • Develop and curate resources tools and exemplars to ensure consistent and high-quality implementation across classrooms.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze student performance data (formative benchmark and state assessments) to identify trends gaps and opportunities for acceleration in alignment with grant goals.
  • Partner with teachers and administrators to use data to inform instructional decisions intervention planning and progress monitoring.
  • Monitor and report on implementation progress and its impact on student outcomes particularly in relation to LASO 4 LIFT performance indicators.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with campus administrators instructional coaches and district curriculum staff to ensure coherence in instructional practices and alignment with grant initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the campus and the districts curriculum and instruction department regarding LASO 4 LIFT implementation.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding progress needs and successes related to curriculum implementation and grant outcomes.

Program Monitoring & Fidelity

  • Develop and implement tools and processes to monitor fidelity of curriculum implementation in alignment with LASO 4 LIFT expectations.
  • Conduct classroom walkthroughs and provide actionable feedback aligned to high-quality instructional materials and instructional best practices.
  • Support the development of systems that sustain strong implementation beyond the grant period.

Grant Responsibilities (TEA LASO 4 LIFT)

  • Implement strategies and supports aligned to the goals and requirements of the TEA LASO 4 LIFT grant.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services professional learning coaching cycles and outcomes as required for grant compliance and reporting.
  • Collaborate with district leadership to meet grant milestones timelines and evaluation requirements.
  • Participate in required grant-related trainings meetings and progress monitoring activities.
