Primary Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the designated campus administrator provides school cafeteria support by performing the duties listed below.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Experience with supervision of students preferred
Special Knowledge and Skills
Ability to follow verbal instructions
Ability to communicate effectively with administration students and parents
Ability to work well with children
Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
Effective organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Manages safety and oversight of students during meal service.
Supervises and assists students through the serving line as needed.
Assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria checking the cleanliness of tables chairs and floors.
Assists students with necessary items for lunch such as eating utensils opening food containers etc.
Reports incidences requiring disciplinary action to campus staff.
Complies with district department and campus policies and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality and integrity regarding students and school situations.
Maintains reliability and consistent attendance needed for supervision and instruction of the students.
Assists with production and/or cleaning in the kitchen if time permits.
Other Related Duties:
Follows district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Participates in professional development department meetings and special events as assigned.
