Position Overview:
The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a full time permanent Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Department of Nursing beginning August 2026.

The ideal candidate seeks an academic career in a comprehensive college that emphasizes teaching and learning in a teacher-scholar successful candidates primary responsibilities will include effective teaching in the classroom and clinical settings. Full-time teaching load is 24 faculty weighted hours per contract year or approximately 4 courses per semester. Additional responsibilities include scholarship within the discipline professional development service on committees and advising.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.

  • Masters degree in nursing and expertise in a clinical population area.

  • Clinical practice and teaching experience across the curriculum in undergraduate and/or graduate programs.

  • Strong track record of scholarship including publications and presentations.

  • Preference given to faculty with certification as an Adult Gerontology/Nurse Practitioner; experience and education in specialty areas such as adult health/medical-surgical nursing informatics maternal child health and/or community/publish health nursing.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of one-year full-time faculty level teaching experience.

  • Doctorate degree.

  • A track record of scholarship.
