Division/Site Specific Information
Position is fully REMOTE for Waltham MA and Bridgewater NJ area. The position will support the Drug Product Division (DPD). The Drug Product Division - North America (DPD-NA) is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We are made up of approximately 4400 colleagues across six sites who specialize in taking sterile injectable and oral solid dose drug products from development to commercialization.

Join our collaborative team as a Lead Sales Development Representative at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll contribute to market growth and build strategic partnerships in the life sciences industry. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities while developing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers across pharmaceutical biotech and research organizations. Working with cross-functional teams youll leverage our comprehensive portfolio of products and services to deliver tailored solutions that help customers advance their work in making the world healthier cleaner and safer.
A Day in the Life:
In this role youll develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies analyze market trends and position our solutions to meet customer needs.
Youll manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation while maintaining detailed records in our CRM system.
Success in this position requires a consultative sales approach strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to diverse audiences.
Keys to Success:
Education
BS degree required. Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences Chemistry Business or related field
Masters degree highly preferred.
Professional business or sales training certifications valued
Experience
6-8 years of B2B sales experience in life sciences pharmaceutical or related industries required with a BS degree and 5 years will be excepted with a masters or higher degree.
Experience in complex deal structuring and strategic account management.
CDMO experience highly preferred.
Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Demonstrated achievement of sales targets and development of new business opportunities
Strong understanding of CDMO/CRO services and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with ability to engage executive leadership
Proficiency with CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and financial acumen to assess market opportunities
Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
Ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events
Strong time management and organizational skills
Adaptability in a responsive evolving environment
Additional language skills beneficial for international territories

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $128000.00$191975.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
