Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Hygienist Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality preventive oral care. This role involves assisting dental hygienists with clinical procedures ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a clean safe and organized treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms instruments and materials for hygiene procedures
Assist during dental cleanings scaling and preventive treatments
Set up and break down operatories in compliance with infection control protocols
Record patient vitals and medical history as needed
Sterilize and organize dental instruments according to established standards
Escort patients and prepare them for procedures
Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care guidance
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting
Monitor manage and restock hygiene supplies
Ensure a safe clean and organized clinical environment
Skills & Experience
Required:
Experience in a dental setting (supporting a hygienist or dentist)
Knowledge of dental procedures and infection control practices
Preferred:
Familiarity with dental software systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent OR
Minimum one (1) year of dental assisting or hygiene support experience
Preferred:
Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support program
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if applicable)
12 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
Dental Assistant Certification or equivalent clinical certification
