Workshop Foreman

Our client in the mechanical industry is seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Foreman to lead their workshop operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in yellow machinery solid leadership ability and experience overseeing both workshop activities and administration.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations.
• Lead manage and support workshop technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Diagnose faults and oversee repairs on yellow machinery.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently safely and to required standards.
• Manage job allocation workflow and turnaround times.
• Oversee workshop administration including job cards costing inputs and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs parts usage and labour.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards within the workshop.
• Liaise with management and other departments regarding progress and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Class 1 Journeyman qualification.
• Diesel Plant Fitter qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Experience in workshop administration is required.
