ESY Physical Therapist (District-Wide) (1)
Waltham Public Schools is seeking dynamic Physical Therapists (PT) for our ESY program to support students with diverse gross motor and mobility needs across all program strands. This role is designed for students who require continued physical therapy services to maintain functional mobility postural control and physical access to their educational environment preventing significant regression during the summer months. Applicants must hold a valid license as a Physical Therapist from the appropriate state licensing board and/or DESE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and small-group physical therapy sessions as mandated by student IEPs. Physical Therapists will review student records to ensure that gross motor goals and accessibility needs are addressed with fidelity while maintaining accurate service logs and progress data. The position concludes with the drafting of participation summary reports detailing physical and motor outcomes for each student on the caseload.
Program Details:
- Dates: July 6 August 6 (Monday Thursday)
- Student Hours: 8:30 am 1:30 pm (Elementary) OR 9:00 am 2:00 pm (Middle School)
- PT Hours: 15 minutes before and after student hours (plus one hour of daily planning/consultation)
- Compensation: $40.00 per hour Total Stipend: $5600.00 (Includes 20 session days and 10 hours of pre- and post-program administrative work)
