The Role
You will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach A Level History depending on your experience and interests.
The department is well-resourced collaborative and passionate about bringing the past to life through engaging and thought-provoking teaching. You will help pupils develop strong analytical skills historical understanding and the confidence to express ideas clearly in both discussion and writing.

Key Responsibilities
Teach History across KS3 and KS4
Potentially teach A Level History depending on experience
Plan and deliver engaging high-quality lessons
Prepare pupils for GCSE and internal assessments
Mark work and provide clear constructive feedback
Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support achievement
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support enrichment opportunities such as history societies trips lectures or debating
Play a positive role in the wider life of the school including boarding activities where appropriate
About You
The school is looking for someone who is passionate about History and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential. You will ideally have:
QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching History at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
A confident and positive classroom presence
