About the Role
The Summer Administrative Support role supports the administrative functions required to deliver a high-quality summer camp experience for staff campers and families. Under the supervision of the Program Manager the Summer Administrative Support serves as a primary contact for customer service aiding with phone and email inquiries supporting enrollment and other administrative duties as required. The Summer Administrative Support will work closely with members of the Supervisory Team including the Office Coordinator Program Coordinator Administrative Assistant Program Supervisors Supplies & Inventory Supervisor and Supplies & Inventory Assistants.
This is a casual position working the equivalent of full-time hours from May 1 - August 28 2026. Scheduled shift times are 8:00am - 4:00pm (May and June) and anytime between 7:00am - 6:00pm (July and August) Monday through Friday. The Summer Administrative Support must have flexible hours for the months of July and August.
All MRU Camps staff are required to provide the following at their own cost prior to commencement:
Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search (valid within 1 year).
Standard First Aid (valid within 2 years) and CPR Level C (valid within 1 year).
Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for parents campers members of the public and staff ensuring clear professional and timely communication.
Support with day-to-day customer service responsibilities such as responding to email and phone inquiries.
Support the Administrative Assistant with processing registrations transfers cancellations and refunds through the CampSite CRM.
Assist with general administrative duties including document preparation scanning and filing.
Assist with internal communication related to daily camp operations.
Coordinate camper late arrivals and early departures maintaining clear communication with families and staff.
Maintain administrative spaces including offices break rooms and camper-specific rooms ensuring they remain organized and well-maintained.
Support supplies and inventory procurement organization and distribution as needed.
Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all MRU Camps stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience working in a childcare/educational setting in a supervisory and administrative capacity (minimum 2 years).
Experience in an administrative or office environment is considered an asset.
Excellent communication skills for sensitive liaising with parents staff and external stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing high-risk priorities and deadlines.
Must be proficient in using Google Workspace tools (Google Drive Docs Sheets Mail Forms etc.).
Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Salary: $20.00 per hour
