Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced acute care facility. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing a wide range of emergency cases and demonstrate strong clinical judgment in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid assessment and treatment for emergency patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms with high accuracy
- Administer medications and interventions using automated medication systems
- Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems
- Float to other units as needed based on skillset and patient care needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of current Emergency Department experience preferred
- Active state RN license required at time of submission
- Required Certifications:
- BLS
- PALS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Strong telemetry and rhythm interpretation skills (testing required)
- Experience with electronic charting systems required
- Familiarity with automated medication dispensing systems preferred
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
