Executive Officer

  • Competitive salary of $149739 - $173174 pa plus superannuation and leave loading

About the role

The Executive Officer provides high-level executive secretariat and project support to the Chief

Procurement Officer (CPO). The role is responsible for delivering strategic advice managing

communications and implementing initiatives that enable the CPO to meet organisational procurement and governance objectives. The position acts as a trusted advisor ensuring alignment with the organisations strategic and operational goals while facilitating effective engagement with stakeholders across government industry and suppliers.

About you -

  • As the Executive Officer work closely with the Chief Procurement Officer to provide high-level strategic support and operational assistance to ensure the Group delivers quality and timely corporate and enabling services to the department to help meet government priorities and fulfil statutory functions and drives innovation across the sector for corporate and enabling services
  • You are self-directed thrives in a fast-paced environment has exceptional communication skills and can juggle competing priorities with finesse and is looking to broaden their skillset and take on some challenges
  • To be successful in this role you will need proven experience in project delivery policy development or operations. It will be essential to have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a high level of discretion professionalism and attention to detail
  • You will possess sound judgement and problem-solving capabilities as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

  2. Describe a time you managed a complex or sensitive operational issue within a Senior Executives office. How did you assess the situation what actions did you take and what was the outcome
