About the role
The Administrative Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of executive support administrative activities and project support to facilitate the delivery of business operations and optimal utilisation of the Directors time and resources. The role supports the business unit to promote the efficient and effective operation of the office and achieve organisational objectives.

About you
- You are an organised and proactive administrator with experience supporting senior leaders and handling confidential information
- You have strong skills in preparing agendas minutes presentations and coordinating meetings and events
- You communicate professionally can manage enquiries effectively and know when to escalate issues
- You maintain accurate records and processes including documentation databases and routine financial tasks in line with policies
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires as long as you remain in a nonchild-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
