SHE Officer

Our client is looking for a SHE Officer to join their team

Responsibilities:

• The purpose of a SHE Officer is to ensure a safe healthy environmentally responsible and high quality working environment by managing risks and ensuring legal and ISO compliance.
• Ensuring a safe and healthy working environment that complies with current health and safety legislation for all employees
• Ensure all employees in area of responsibility fully understand the requirements of existing health and safety legislation
• Investigate and report on all work related injuries and vehicle road accidents
• Audit relevant sites and prepare the annual SHEQ Assurance Audit
• Maintain/Control Contamination standards for area of responsibility
• Conduct regular on-site appraisals of premises and housekeeping electrical mechanical and personal safe guards fire protection and security standards
• Coordinate with clinics occupational health practitioners or first-aid teams
• Implement programmes that minimise exposure to noise chemicals dust heat and other workplace healthy risks
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Drive initiatives on waste reduction pollution prevention and resource conservation
• Maintain environmental documentation such as registers permits and compliance reports

Qualifications:

• Honours Degree in Safety Health Environment & Quality (SHEQ) or equivalent
• Clean class 4 Drivers licence
• Minimum of 3 years in the similar position
