We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Teacher who will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons that support the academic social and emotional development of pupils. This role involves creating a positive learning environment preparing lessons plans assessing pupil performance and ensuring effective classroom management in line with the school curriculum.
The ideal candidate will support the foundational development of pupils by fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere monitoring academic progress and working closely with parents and school management to promote student success. The Primary School Teacher will also contribute to the overall growth of pupils by encouraging participation creativity and discipline in the classroom.
Summary of Responsibilities
Lesson Planning and Delivery
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the approved curriculum
Prepare lesson notes and teaching materials
Use appropriate teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes
Student Assessment
Assess and monitor pupils academic progress
Prepare and grade assignments tests and class activities
Provide regular feedback on pupils academic performance
Classroom Management
Maintain order and discipline in the classroom
Create a safe positive and inclusive learning environment
Encourage pupil participation and engagement during lessons
Student Development and Communication
Support pupils social and emotional development
Communicate pupils progress with parents and school management
Participate in school meetings events and developmental activities
Requirements
Bachelors degree in education or related field
2 - 4 years of teaching experience in a primary school
Strong classroom management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and support young learners effectively
Strong lesson planning and assessment skills
Patience creativity and a passion for child development
Ability to work collaboratively with parents and school staff
Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office tools
Must reside in Agege or its environs
