Job Summary

Ohel seeks a compassionate and talented professional entitlements specialist to join our team to represent and support Individuals living with Developmental Disabilities and Individuals with Mental Illness. The right candidate will help clients secure and maintain benefits such as Social Security/SSI SSD Medicaid and Food Stamps. Duties include eligibility planning applications recertifications advocacy and working with government regulations. Applicant will liaison with managers across the agency to ensure positive outcomes. The applicant must be well-organized self-motivated and able to follow through on multi-tasked responsibilities and general administrative requirements. Applicants will review the cost of care ledger regularly to ensure Ohel and individuals we serve are obtaining accurate income. This position requires strong organizational skills attention to details written verbal and interpersonal skills as well as computer skills (including Excel MS Word Outlook). Knowledge of New York and New Jersey benefits and entitlements requirements is preferred. Training will be provided. This full time position is located in Brooklyn.
