Overview
The Director of Residential and Day Services provides strategic leadership for Rackers Residential Free-Standing Respite and Day Programs ensuring alignment with the organizations Mission Vision and Values. This role promotesa strong senseof belonging by fostering inclusive collaborative and forward-thinking program environments that centerthelived experiences of the individuals and families we serve.
The Directoris responsible forensuring high-quality service delivery through effective oversight of operations budgets staffing and regulatory position promotes a culture of ethical practice accountability and staff a strong commitment to learning innovation and continuous improvement the Director leads program development and adaptation to meet evolving needs integrates best practices in IDD services and drives measurable outcomes for individuals and families.
Through supportive leadership and cross-functional collaboration the Director builds and sustains strong teams cultivates community partnerships and ensures fiscally sound effective and mission-driven services.
This position supervises three Assistant Directors and reports to the Associate Executive Director. The Director has overall oversight of 26 IRAs and approximately 300 staff.
We are seeking a candidate with experience managing large-scale human services operations including oversight of 24/7 residential with OPWDD programs ispreferred.
Salary Range:$110000 - $125000
Relocation assistance available.

- Maintain positive collaborative and future focused program environment
- Ensure person-centered and family-focused service provision
- Analyze and review the departments functions for the purpose of ensuringalignment with programmatic goals effectivenessand efficientfiscally sound operations
- Develop systems policies procedures to meetquality standardsestablishedby programand regulatory requirementsandtopromote continuous improvement in service delivery
- Develop team of leaders and managers within the program to meet established supervisory expectations and programmatic goal achievement
- Overseeinnovativefull-timecommunity-basedday programming.
- Oversee budget and resource allocation forResidentialand Day Services
- Adapt programming as needed to meet the needs of service recipients.
- Maintain knowledge of current best practices in IDD service provision technology and upcoming regulatory changesimpactingservices within thepurviewof the department
- Serve as a resourcefor program staff program participantscare managersand families
- Assess and implement new program development and expansion
- Promote positive relationships within the departments teamcollateral agencies familiesand community
- Commitment to promoting diversity equity inclusion and cultural competence in all aspects of service delivery for participants and employees.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification:Bachelors Degree in from an approved program in a relevant field QIDP
- Experience:Minimum of three years in Residential Management;demonstratedmanagement/supervisory experience
