Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) OB / Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location: Hyannis MA
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced RN for OB/Labor & Delivery to provide patient care using the full nursing process. The role includes patient assessment care planning medication administration and supporting a high-acuity hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care (assessment planning implementation evaluation)
- Perform and document patient assessments
- Develop and update care plans
- Administer medications and monitor responses
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Coordinate with care teams
- Educate patients and families
- Supervise support staff
- Act as charge nurse when required
- Follow safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- RN License Massachusetts
- Recent OB/Labor & Delivery experience (within 2 years)
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Education
- ADN required
- BSN preferred
Certifications
- BLS Required
- ACLS Required
- NRP Required
- Fetal Monitoring (every 2 years) Required
- Pharmacology exam Required
- CPI Preferred
Work Environment
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- High-acuity team-based setting
