This is a role for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the detail and bringing order to the numbers.

Were looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper who can step in take control of the day-to-day finance function and keep everything running smoothly from the get-go. This is a 3-month contract where your ability to add value quickly will make all the difference.

What youll be doing:

Youll be right in the thick of it managing the full bookkeeping function and ensuring everything is accurate up to date and audit-ready. Expect a strong focus on transactional work reconciliations and keeping the finance engine running without a hitch.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records
• Managing creditor reconciliations and age analysis
• Updating and maintaining the general ledger
• Bank reconciliations and ensuring transaction accuracy
• VAT submissions and assisting with tax-related processes
• Producing trial balances and supporting month-end reporting
• Assisting with payroll processing and reconciliations
• Supporting audit processes and ensuring compliance with policies
• Handling ad hoc finance queries across the business

What were looking for:

• Solid bookkeeping experience with strong exposure to full-function finance
• Comfortable working across GL reconciliations and reporting
• Someone who understands the fundamentals of audit (articles or relevant exposure is a big plus)
• High attention to detail and a naturally organised approach
• Able to work independently and take ownership from day one

• Based in either Cape Town or Johannesburg
• Immediate availability
