We are seeking a Financial Accountant to contribute to the Corporate Service Teams capability to deliver high quality financial reporting and analysis which supports budget holders to better manage operations and changes in external environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Work effectively and innovatively within the Finance Team to deliver highly accurate and timely analysis of monthly quarterly and annual financial performance and management reports to support the decision-making process
- Participates in Budget and Forecast process in conjunction with Business Insights team to ensure an accurate and meaningful process
- Assist with and preparation of end of month reporting on a timely basis including but not limited to the following tasks - expense accruals intercompany charges prepayments lease accounting entries payroll journals and bank reconciliations
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including clearing variances on a regular basis and ensuring accurate reporting of the general ledger accounts
- Assist with the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements including liaising with external auditors resolving discrepancies and advising on variances
Selection Criteria includes:
- Experience in utilising ERP systems and working with data from financial systems.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal external finance and non-finance stakeholders particularly business unit budget holders.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently problem solve communicate effectively and manage expectations in order to meet set deadlines.
- A valid C class driving license.
- Blue card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance to start (we can help)
