Whats the role
The Manager Financial Markets WIB FCF BCMAdvisory role sitswithin the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) Financial Crime and Fraud team. You will be part of a dynamic global team providing end-to-end oversight of financial crime risk across AML/CTF sanctions fraud and scams and anti-bribery and corruption.
Acting as the primary 1st Line subject matter expert youll partner with senior leaders toidentify assess and mitigate FC risks across the banks Financial Markets business including trading sales treasury and capital markets activities. This role ensures that AML sanctions anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) and market abuse risks are effectively managed within the first line of defence. It involves assisting in conducting FC risk assessments for financial market activities including FX derivatives commodities fixed income and related products.
Youll work closely with front-office traders sales teams product managers operations and 2nd line FCC to embed robust risk controls while enabling business to grow in a safe and sustainable manner.
What do I need
- Financial crime risk experience within financial markets (FX derivatives commodities fixed income).
- Strong ability to identify and mitigate financial crime risks across trading sales and capital markets.
- Experience partnering with front office teams providing practical risk guidance.
- Sound knowledge of AML sanctions ABC and market abuse frameworks.
- Experience reviewing high-risk clients transactions and counterparties against risk appetite.
- Strong stakeholder management across front office operations compliance and FCC
