Junior Accountant FTC
Job Summary
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of our financial records preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.
This role includes basic financial and management accounting duties. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a busy global business and all-round exposure to all the activities in the Finance Team.
**This is a 6 month FTC
What youll be doing:
- Financial reporting Assist in preparing and delivering routine financial reports for management.
- Record maintenance Support the upkeep of accurate financial records including performing basic balance sheet reconciliations.
- Compliance support Help ensure the business follows accounting standards and internal group policies.
- Banking and reconciliations Carry out daily banking tasks complete bank reconciliations and work with store managers to resolve banking variances and maintain smooth banking processes.
- Capital expenditure tracking Assist with monitoring and reporting on capital expenditure.
- Team support Provide general support across the finance team including accounts payable and accounts receivable duties and complete ad hoc tasks such as Capex reporting monthly BAS preparation and preparing financial reports requested by the Finance Manager.
What were looking for:
- Completion of an Accounting Degree
- Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
- Experience in a retail or FMCG environment will be highly regarded.
- Attention to detail strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel) skills
- Strong numerical and excellent communication skills
- Strong team player
