About the Role

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company by overseeing the financial operations related to insurance policies claims and investments. You will prepare financial reports analyse financial data and develop budgets and forecasts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepares and analyses periodic financial and management reports such as balance sheets income statements cash flow statements other financial data and provides insights to the senior management team.
  • Supports audits by preparing statutory reports and providing necessary documentation data and information to internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards legislations tax requirements implements and monitors internal controls and policies prepares necessary compliance reports and financial acquittals.
  • Undertakes reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger accounts maintains fixed assets register capital expenditure budget to ensure financial accuracy and to identify cost saving opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role our preferred candidate will have:

  • Bachelors degree required; Finance Accounting is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
  • Minimal experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) qualifications are preferred.
  • Proficient in Accounting Software & Tools Bookkeeping Financial Statement Analysis Taxation Financial Reporting Risk Management and Financial Auditing skills.
  • Excellent Analytical Thinking Communication Planning and Prioritisation and Digital Literacy skills.
