Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Field Technician for the Companys Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will be responsible for support mainly in Minneapolis MN area and surrounding vicinity.

Essential Functions:

• This is a support level position requiring a thorough knowledge of theinstallation maintenance and repair of telecommunications related systems and/or equipment gained through formal education or fromconsiderable and varied experience in working with the installationservice activation maintenance and repair of telecommunication systemsand devices.
• Responsiblefor the installation repair configuration test and preventativemaintenance of network equipment telecommunications equipment and/or computers.
• Proficientin Microsoft or UNIX operating systems and the components of the MSOffice Suite. Maintains records on repairs down time changes andupdates.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance

Network Knowledge / Skills:

• Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement such as RJ-11 RJ-45 DB-25 V.35 RS-449
• Havean excellent working knowledge of fiber working knowledge of MultiplexesNetwork topology Frame Relay Fractional T-1 SONET Network TechnologyATM Private Line Voice and Data applications
• Goodworking knowledge of power testing AD and DC including 3 Phase AC. Familiar with configuration and operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC powersupplies.
• Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications DS3Testing Digital Testing (BERT) and Analog VG Testing within Bell CoreStandards.
• Workingknowledge and usage of various network test equipment: JDSU HSTAmeritech AM5XT Sage 935 Digital Oscilloscope Halcyon 704A Para-scopeor other T1/DS3 Test sets.

Computer Knowledge / Skills:

• Performbasic software troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Serveas the point of contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk or NOC.
• Installhardware and software including operating system and office applications
• Responsiblefor providing computer hardware software and network technical support to end-users
• Assists with setup and configuration of system hardware and software.
• MicrosoftOffice suite.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Drivers License and a satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial (and continued) employment.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $62500 - $116500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state Cleveland Ohio and Vermont is $54500 $101500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
