Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a rehabilitation and long-term care unit. The CNA will play a key role in supporting patient care assisting with daily living activities and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing feeding grooming and mobility
- Support ambulation transfers and safe patient handling (Hoyer lift transfer boards etc.)
- Monitor and record vital signs (BP pulse temperature respirations pulse oximetry)
- Provide skin care pressure injury prevention and repositioning
- Assist with toileting catheter care and incontinence care
- Collect and document specimens and outputs (urine stool drains)
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient environment
- Follow infection control protocols including PPE and isolation precautions
- Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience required
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehab setting preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must be willing to float based on facility needs
- Strong patient care and communication skills
