Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and committed Health Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to support the implementation and enforcement of QHSE standards across its construction sites and designated locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture ensuring compliance with site policies and safeguarding the wellbeing of all workers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct QHSE training Toolbox Talks and emergency drills to promote safe work practices.
Enforce and monitor compliance with health safety and environmental standards on site.
Carry out regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
Ensure tools equipment scaffolds and work-at-height activities meet safety requirements.
Investigate and report incidents near misses and hazards ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Ensure subcontractors comply with site safety policies and procedures.
Maintain QHSE records submit reports and attend QHSE meetings as required.
Perform other duties in support of QHSE objectives.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma HND or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Management or a related field.
Professional HSE certification is an advantage.
Minimum 35 years experience in an HSE role preferably within a construction environment.
Strong knowledge of construction safety practices risk assessments and incident reporting.
Skills & Competencies
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
Good communication and training skills.
Ability to enforce safety rules confidently and professionally.
Strong reporting documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Skills:
Qualifications & Experience Diploma HND or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Management or a related field. Professional HSE certification is an advantage. Minimum 35 years experience in an HSE role preferably within a construction environment. Strong knowledge of construction safety practices risk assessments and incident reporting.
