Assistant Mortgage Banker – Bilingual (EnglishSpanish) Onsite
Job Summary
The Federal Savings Bank a national bank and 5-time 50 Best Mortgage Companies to Work For winner is seeking a highly organized detail-oriented friendly and outgoing mortgage professional who is fully fluent in English and Spanish. As an Assistant Mortgage Banker you will be a frontline member of one of the busiest teams in our Retail Mortgage division.
Qualified applicants must reside in a commutable distance to our North Miami office at the time of application and be able to work onsite Monday Friday.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Vice President serving as primary liaison among customers internal operations support realtors and title companies
- Help manage the Senior Vice Presidents pipeline while working with Processing Underwriting and Closing teams to ensure loans get closed in a timely manner
- Set and maintain proper expectations with all parties on the loan file
- Structure loans in Encompass loan origination system
- Analyze package for completeness to ensure loan file meets investor guidelines
- Prepare mortgage applications and disclosures for signing
- Complete Banks customer service training and apply to everyday communication
- Consistently exceed borrower and Realtor/Builder expectations always giving Wow! service
- Marketing tasks to include maximizing the Senior Vice Presidents CRM and past client business

Skills/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Fluency in Spanish both spoken and written required
- 3 years of experience as Mortgage Banker Assistant or Loan Processor
- Ability to calculate income including self-employed
- Knowledge of current Fannie/Freddie/Ginnie conventional loan guidelines
- Knowledge of current FHA & VA government guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel Word and Outlook)
- Demonstrable ability to meet standards of professional communication while maintaining a friendly and approachable disposition
- Creative and proactive thinker
- Superior time-management and organizational skills
