Assistant Womens Wrestling Coach

The University of Sioux Falls invites applications for an Assistant Womens Wrestling Coach. USF is a member of the NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Job Description

The full-time position reports to the Head Wrestling Coach and the Director of Athletics. The individual in this role will assist with all aspects of managing a successful collegiate wrestling program. The selected candidate will support the head coach in the daily operations of the wrestling program fostering a competitive disciplined and supportive environment that promotes the success of student-athletes both on and off the mat. Additional responsibilities will include recruiting organizing and running wrestling camps scheduling travel accommodations and facilitating community service opportunities. The applicant must demonstrate leadership organizational and communication skills as well as recruiting and coaching abilities and knowledge of and adherence to all applicable NCAA procedures rules and regulations.

Qualifications

The applicant must have significant knowledge of and demonstrated success in coachingwrestling recruiting student-athletes and strong motivation organizational and communication skills. The individual must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in the environment of a Christian higher education institution and abide by all NCAA DII Northern Sun Conference and University policies.

A bachelors degree is required with coaching experience or a combination of wrestling and coaching experiencea strong professional work ethic and a commitment to students academic success. Travel is necessary and a valid drivers license the ability to pass a background check and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. are required.
