Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Career Coach Liaison for the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice. - Boca Raton FL.
The Career Coach Collegeof SocialWork and Criminal JusticeLiaisondevelopsa deep understanding of career pathways within the College ofSocial Work and Criminal Justiceand advances student success by delivering career readiness programs expanding experiential learning and internship opportunities and supporting meaningful post-graduation addition this position supports the existing career ecosystem by strengthening faculty engagement enhancing student involvement and ensuring alignment with the Career Centers initiatives and events as well as with colleges organizations and the university.
Summary of responsibilities:
Serves as the Career Center liaison todesignatedcolleges and organizationsrepresentingthe Career Center both internally within the university and externally throughout the community.
Partners with the College ofSocial Work and Criminal Justice to assess students career-readiness needs and in collaboration with faculty and staffdevelopsprograms services and resources to address those needs. This includes aligning with employer and industry expectations addressing skill gaps and preparing students with the career competenciesrequiredfor workforce success.
Provides individualized career coaching to students and alumni on a wide range of topics including major and career exploration (with Major Knowledge interpretations) résumés cover letters personal statements internship and job searches practice interviews LinkedIn profiles graduate school applications and other career readiness opportunities.
Completes detailed notesof the career coaching session according to standards andfollows-up with students and alumni with resources and at the conclusion of each appointment.
Delivers evening presentations throughout the fall and spring semesters to classes and student organizations on career readiness topics and hosts employer partners on campus integrating them into programs and presentations to strengthen studentindustry connections.
Collaborates with students and employers to expand experiential learning opportunities that lead to full-time employment including internships job shadowing and other forms of applied learning.
Registers students for the Professional Internship Course andassistswith enrollment in college-specific internship courses.
Actively participates in college-led events to promote career readiness and student engagement.
Builds and sustains partnerships with student organizations clubs and faculty to support career development initiatives.
Collaborates with the employer engagement team to develop and coordinate career initiatives programs and college-specific events that increase employer involvement with
Representsthe Career Center on the College of Social Work and Criminal Justice Workforce Advisory Board.
Support the colleges Soar-in-Four program by creating programming monitoring engagement and meeting with Soar-in-Four students on a semester-by-semester basis.
Assistwith launching a social work internprogram within the Career Center to offer BSWstudentsopportunities to get experience working in career coachingto fulfill the requirements for the practicum in their program.
Supports the delivery of other core Career Center programs and activities as needed.
Assists the Director of College and Faculty Engagement in organizing andfacilitatingindustry-to-classroom roundtables toidentifyworkforce skill gaps andprovideactionable insights for curriculum development and enhancement.
Performs other job-related duties as described.

Minimum Qualifications:
A masters degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Salary:
$50000 - $51500 annually.Exempt Administrative Managerial Professional (AMP)
