Job Summary
The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opportunity available for a PRN Medical Oncology/Hematology physician. The physicians duties will include management of Oncology and Infusion patients including examination treatment consultation follow-up referral and ordering labs/imaging. The physician will also participate in patient satisfaction programs quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe quality care.
Depending upon the experience of the physician and circumstances PSMC will consider a telemedicine physician for PRN services.
- SCHEDULE
- PRN physicians will as and when available work shifts as requested by PSMC. Note: staff at PSMCs Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Center are scheduled for 10-hour shifts on Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- COMPENSATION
- Compensation: Three thousand dollars ($3000.00) per 10-hour shift.
- RETIREMENT
- 401a (mandatory plan): employee and employer each contribute 6% of earnings subject to IRS maximum contribution limits and five-year vesting.
- 457: optional retirement plan.
- OTHER
- PSMC provides professional liability insurance coverage for employed physicians.
- PSMC is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligible employer

Qualifications
Seeking candidates with at least three years of experience; qualified candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology.
