RN: Med Surg Night ShiftPosition: RN: Med SurgDepartment: Med SurgLocation: Pagosa Springs Medical CenterShift: Night ShiftSchedule: 3 12-hour shifts per weekHours: 36 hours/weekEmployment Type: Traveler / ContractPagosa Springs Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN: Med Surg Traveler for night shift coverage. This role provides observation and inpatient nursing care to patients assigned to the Med Surg Unit including assessment monitoring medication administration physician order follow-through patient education documentation and coordination of ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently on night shift managing patient care priorities responding appropriately to changes in condition and maintaining safe accurate documentation in Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room experience traveler experience EHR/EMR experience of an accredited RN program Colorado RN license or ability to obtain required licensure in good AHA BLS certification ACLS certification required or completion at next available course within 3 PALS certification required or completion at next available course within 3 computer skills and electronic health record experience Responsibilities Include:Provide direct observation and inpatient nursing care within the RN scope of and monitor patient clinical status including respiratory cardiovascular neurological gastrointestinal genitourinary pain comfort skin integrity and mental status changes in patient condition and notify the appropriate medications IV therapy blood products and other ordered treatments safely and required Cerner documentation including assessments nursing tasks care plans patient education and care using SBAR and approved handoff knowledge of cardiac monitoring and take appropriate action based on rhythm patient safety confidentiality infection prevention practices and professional standards throughout the shift.

Shift: Night shift: 1830 - 0630 3 days/week.
