The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting budgeting audit preparation and ensuring transparency and accountability in line with donor and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Manage and oversee all financial operations of the organization.
Prepare accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
Ensure proper financial documentation and reporting in line with accounting standards.
2. Grant & Budget Management
Manage grant funds and ensure proper utilization in line with donor requirements.
Track expenses against approved budgets and provide variance analysis.
Support budget preparation and financial planning processes.
3. Accounting Operations
Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
4. Audit & Compliance
Prepare for internal and external audits and coordinate audit activities.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations donor guidelines and internal policies.
Maintain strong internal controls and risk management processes.
5. Payroll & Vendor Management
Process payroll as the team grows ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage vendor payments and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds.

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Professional certification such as ICAN ACCA or equivalent is required.
5 8 years experience in finance or accounting preferably within an NGO or development sector.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting grant management and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
High level of integrity accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
