Registered Nurse (RN) Psych / Behavioral Health

13-Week Contract 8-Hour Shifts (Evenings or Nights)

Overview:
We are seeking experiencedPsychiatric/Behavioral Health Registered Nurses (RNs)for a 13-week travel assignment at a leading behavioral health facility in Alabama. This is a great opportunity for nurses who thrive in structured team-based environments and are confident managing complex patient behaviors.

Shift Details:

• 8-hour shifts
• Evening (typically 3p11p) or Night (11p7a)
• 5 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
• Conduct patient assessments monitor mental status and document changes
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Implement and support individualized care plans and behavioral interventions
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment including de-escalation when needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists therapists social workers)
• Ensure compliance with facility policies safety protocols and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• ActiveRN license(AL or compact)
• Minimum12 years of recent psych/behavioral health experience
• Experience withacute psych forensic or inpatient behavioral healthstrongly preferred
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• CPI or de-escalation training preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and crisis management skills
