Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Nationally Certified (Inpatient)

Location: Hyannis MA
Job Type: Contract (26 Weeks)

Assignment Details:

• Shift: Rotating Day/Evening Shift
• Schedule: 5 x 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations in a hospital setting. The technician will assist pharmacists in medication preparation distribution inventory management and regulatory compliance while ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process medication orders for patient care units
• Prepare package label and distribute medications accurately
• Maintain medication inventory including monitoring expiration dates and restocking supplies
• Process medication returns and assist with billing documentation
• Pre-package bulk medications into unit-dose containers
• Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory documentation requirements
• Answer and triage phone calls directing clinical inquiries to pharmacists
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department
• Provide excellent customer service to patients families and healthcare staff

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration required
• PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Pharmacy Technician experience (within the past 3 years); 3 years preferred
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
