Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior GS Technician who would be primarily responsible for oil & tire services as well as vehicle inspections to assess maintenance and safety issues. If you are currently working within the industry and actively wanting to grow your skill set please express interest - we provide study materials online and in-person training for those seeking ASE/L1 certifications and your training plan would be developed in-house with our Service Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• General Service Technicians / Mechanics perform all maintenance and repair services including but not limited to: oil changes tire rotations battery replacements suspension alignments and more
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
• Complete full accurate and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Ensure all preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate
• Comply with federal state and local regulations that affect service operations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know
• Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by Management
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guests vehicle
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety cleanliness and organization

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

• Current drivers license
• Experience mounting & balancing tires
• Experience performing oil changes 
• Experience performing fluid exchanges 
• Must be a problem solver constantly looking for solutions & continuous improvement 
• Must have a Team Wins/ I Win Attitude 
• Wants to grow & learn Auto Tech skills - is intellectually curious & has mechanical ability
• Technologically astute
• ASE certifications: If you do not have any must want them. They will be required for continued employment.
• Vehicle diagnostic experience beyond code reading preferred but not required
• Experience performing alignments preferred but not required
• Experience with steering and suspension preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicles needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
• Drive manual transmission vehicles
• Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
• Efficiently navigate a computer
