Job Summary
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes vendor financials and documentation to determine DBE/SBE eligibility.
Prepares documentation for approvals removals and hearings. Tracks and documents the certification process.
Conducts on-site visits for DBE/SBE eligibility verification.
Participates in outreach efforts and provides technical assistance to vendors.
Offers guidance on application requirements DBE policies and portal use.
Performs related duties as assigned.

CHALLENGES
Keeping abreast of all federal program regulations changes and challenges to ensure federal funding is maintained and in compliance with USDOT mandates.
Educating internal and external customers about the importance of the DBE/SBE program.
Familiarizing oneself with dynamic business landscape of types of contractors seeking to do business with the Authority
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Business Public Administration Accounting or related field plus one (1) year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid State of Illinois Drivers License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Extended periods of sitting and use of visual/manual dexterity.
Ability to conduct construction site visits.
Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
In-depth knowledge of DBE/SBE compliance requirements and document review techniques.
Financial document analysis experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to independently manage case files and sensitive data.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard office environment.
Occasional field travel within the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
EQUIPMENT TOOLS AND MATERIALS UTILIZED
Microsoft Office Suite B2GNow legal databases and office equipment.
SALARY
$86610.40
POSITION SUMMARY
Conducts eligibility evaluations and prepares related documentation for DBE and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certification programs. Provides technical support and outreach under general supervision in compliance with federal and state requirements.
Employees and/or union members will be given priority consideration in the hiring process per the applicable labor contracts.Final salary will be determined in part by the qualifications of the selected candidate and may be higher or lower than target.
