Nurses Aide/Clerk
High school diploma or GED. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Must have CPR and First Aid certificate. Type 40 wpm and general clerical skills including filing record keeping and computer usage. Typing test required. Ability to render first aid function adequately in emergency situations and work harmoniously with children staff and others.
School Nurse/Principal
To manage all aspects of the school health office for the health and welfare of the students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the school health office for the health and welfare of the students.
- Assists with the preparation and maintenance of health
- Types or hand prepares forms letters reports and requirements as directed by the school
- Handles telephone communications makes appointments for the nurses
- Assists with health appraisal activities such as growth evaluation vision hearing scoliosis and other appraisals.
- Administer first aid adhering to district policy and
- Assist in calling parents of students who are sent
- Gathers daily information related to student
- Maintains and files information of absences/causes on student attendance cards.
- Enters attendance on the
- Assists in coverage for school
- Coordinates all clerical functions related to implementation of district attendance system.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the school nurse/principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Ten months beginning salary Grade Five. Employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board policy on Evaluation of Support Staff personnel.
