Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and nbsp;Tech Assistant II and nbsp;to support radiology and interventional services. The ideal candidate will have strong scheduling experience and a clinical background in diagnostic imaging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule procedures and coordinate appointments within the PACS system
- Assist Radiologists and Nurses with interventional case scheduling
- Prepare and process initial paperwork and patient identification bands
- Transport patients safely and assist with lifting/movement as needed
- Register and pre-register patients verifying demographics and insurance information
- Obtain authorizations CPT codes and ICD-9 codes as required
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
- Coordinate daily surgery schedules with anesthesia and other departments
- Follow compliance protocols including Medicare Secondary Payer and billing requirements
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth workflow
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum and nbsp;4 years of recent scheduling experience and nbsp;in:
- PET/CT
- Angio
- CT
- Ultrasound
- MRI
- X-Ray
- Experience working with and nbsp;PACS systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and imaging procedures
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in interventional radiology scheduling
- Familiarity with insurance verification and authorization processes
- Strong attention to detail and patient-focused approach
