This 6-week summer internship at Jefferson Health offers a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to population health principles and practices in a dynamic healthcare environment. As an intern youll engage in both theoretical learning and practical applications while working alongside experienced professionals in the field.

Job Description

Essential Functions
Interacts with co-workers visitors and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Participate in weekly educational sessions with subject matter experts
Engage in operational meetings to observe population health principles in action
Shadow healthcare professionals in various settings (street medicine refugee health post-acute care)
Complete assigned self-directed learning modules through Jeffersons educational platforms
Analyze health data and quality metrics using various dashboard tools
Explore social determinants of health through community outreach experiences
Develop and present a capstone project addressing a population health challenge

Competencies (Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required):
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Curiosity and willingness to engage with diverse healthcare settings
Critical thinking abilities to connect theoretical concepts to practical applications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Includes High School Diploma or GED Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree (Specify field). Also includes Schools like Medical Assistant etc. NO listings like Bachelors degree or relevant experience.
